On Thursday, April 9 nearly 200 people gathered at the Eldorado Hotel Casino to enjoy an evening among friends during the inaugural ‘Noodle This’ charity dinner, surrounded by vintage Italian decor and candlelight as a violinist strolled through the crowd entertaining attendees. Hosted by the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation, the event featured “Celebrity Servers” including names like Senators William Raggio and Randolph Townsend, news anchor Shelby Sheehan, Sheriff Mike Haley and Reno and Sparks Mayors Cashell and Martini, who served dinner to tables of eight and then joined the group for conversation over dinner and dessert. - "Noodle This" Event Raises More Than $13,000 for Food Bank

It's official, northern Nevada's only PGA TOUR event has outdone itself. Each year, upon completion of the annual Legends at Sparks Marina Reno Tahoe Open, the PGA TOUR issues a review of the tournament, evaluating everything from golf cart batteries to bathrooms and signage, and provides a list of items to be improved upon for next year. And this year’s list was far shorter than those in years past thanks to efforts from a reinvigorated Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation board of directors and the tournament's new director, Michael Stearns. - PGA TOUR Accolades for Legends Reno-Tahoe Open

Boasting an abundance of enhancements for its 10th annual event, the PGA TOUR’s Legends at Sparks Marina Reno-Tahoe Open received plenty of positive feedback from sponsors, golf fans and the PGA TOUR on the changes implemented since new tournament director Michael Stearns took over in February. The tournament’s first-ever title sponsor, RED Development’s The Legends at Sparks Marina, and its newly redesigned welcome area, along with additions such as the 16th Hole Fiesta Loco, Renown’s “Get Fit Fore Charity” walk, the Kid’s Par-Tee Zone and the 17th Hole Taste of Reno were certainly a boost to the West Coast’s only summertime PGA TOUR event, helping it to receive high marks across the board. - 10th Anniversary Improvements - 2008
