Volunteer FAQ
When I register online it asks me to add three committee choices, but I will only volunteer for my first choice. Do I have to fill in all three?
Yes, we ask that you fill in three choices because committees are filled on a first come first serve basis.
When I registered I noticed that the price is only $50 as opposed to $65 from last year, why is this?
Last year, the volunteer package included (2) shirts and a golf hat or visor, this year the package includes (1) shirt and a golf hat or visor. However, you have the option of selecting an additional shirt for $15.
Where do I pick up my uniform and volunteer package?
Your uniform will be issued to your committee chairperson, uniform pick up and final scheduling with your chairperson is required before your uniform is issued. Uniforms will be available on a date yet to be determined. Please contact your committee chair to coordinate pick up.
Where do volunteers park?
Volunteer parking is off Callahan Road, opposite the entrance to Montreux Golf & Country Club, at the base of Mount Rose Hwy. Turn right at Callahan Road off Hwy 431/Mt. Rose Hwy, then turn right again on Paris Avenue. Follow signage to Volunteer Parking. Depending on the committee on which you serve, the average workday is 4 to 6 hours long. Some assignments may require longer days, particularly Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Typically volunteers work three or more shifts.
Is there a cost? What do I wear?
