From the PGA TOUR professionals that make their way to Reno each year, to the variety of activities that we host on site for fans to enjoy, the Reno-Tahoe Open is Big Time fun! Wine Walk

 

A staple at the Reno-Tahoe Open, the Wine Walk features 4 tasting stations featuring excellent samplings of delicious wines. With both red and white offerings to satisfy any wine-lovers desires, Wine Walk tickets may be purchased on-site at any Wine Walk station, August 02-05, 2012. Must be 21 or older to enjoy the Wine Walk.

 

On-Site Nanny Service

 

Professional caregivers ensured that your children were well taken care of while you enjoyed the sights, sounds and tastes of the Reno-Tahoe Open.

Pack Pavilion

 

Housed in a hospitality tent on the spectacular signature hole #17, the University of Nevada is playing host at the Pack Pavilion, promising a howling good time for Nevada fans young and old. Featuring drink specials and free admittance for fans in Nevada blue, this is your chance to see a Howl in One! Be sure to dress in Nevada blue or admission is $5 at the tent entrance.

Kids’ Tree House

 

The Kids' Tree House features activities that the whole family can enjoy including a cookie-making station, visits from popular children's programming characters, and much more.

Soldier for the Day

 

Featuring geocaching using hand-held GPS devices, simple to understand and specially made for smaller hands, children and parents alike enjoy trekking through Montrêux Golf & Country Club while finding treasure stations throughout the course as part of Soldier for the Day. Hosted by branches of the United States military, Soldier for the Day is fun for kids and a great part of the continuation of the Reno-Tahoe Open’s Salute to Troops.

Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!

 

The Reno-Tahoe Open brings the flavors from south of the border to the grounds of Montrêux with professional PGA TOUR golf as the backdrop. A returning favorite year after year, the Fiesta Loco party hole features margaritas, Bud Light Lime, delicious south-of-the-border fare and some of the best viewing available. Entry to this tent is just $20 and is payable on-site.


Food Fare Festival

 

Guests may enjoy delicious treats in between drives and putts at the Food Fare Festival. Creating a carnival atmosphere filled with fun and food is just another way the Reno-Tahoe Open creates a family friendly event that features so much more than golf.

 

Salute to Troops Military Initiative

 

The Reno-Tahoe Open is proud to partner with the Nevada Military Support Alliance and create a Salute to Troops initative. On-site military activities include military static displays, a Soldier for the Day geocaching activity for children, a Patriots' Luncheon, an Appreciation Station allowing guests to send notes to our troops serving abroad, and even a beautifully-appointed hospitality suite just for members of our military. Women’s Day

 

Named a "Best of Show" runner-up among all PGA TOUR special events in 2010, Women’s Day returnes to the RTO in 2012. Kicking off the week's activities in 2012, Women's Day will occur on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 and feature incredible offerings for attendees in addition to a weeklong pass to gain entrance to the Reno-Tahoe Open PGA TOUR event. Special Events Coalition

 

The Biggest Little City is known for its plethora of great special events that entertain locals and visitors alike year round. These individual events have come together for the greater good, creating the Special Events Coalition. The Reno-Tahoe Open is a proud member of this elite group and are thrilled to play host to several partner events as they bring a piece of their special event right to the course throughout tournament week at the Special Events Coalition display! Guests will enjoy a hot air balloon display courtesy of the Great Reno Balloon Race, a classic car exhibit from Hot August Nights and the National Automobile Museum, a jet from the Reno Air Races and more, right on the grounds of Montrêux Golf & Country Club. The First Tee Activities

 

One of the favorite charities of the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation, The First Tee of Northern Nevada has a mission to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf. A variety of activities involving The First Tee take place annually during tournament week including children acting as caddies and a golf clinic.
