Important Notice for Travelers Driving to Reno/Tahoe from Interstate 80 Westbound!
In April 2009, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) launched a major construction effort on Interstate 80, which includes various road improvements over a nearly 80-mile stretch of highway from Colfax, California to the Nevada State line. If weather permits, project construction will take place between March and November each year until 2013.
We realize that guests traveling to the Reno-Tahoe Open from California may be impacted in their travel including detours and delays. To help keep you informed, Caltrans developed an informational website, www.GetAcross80.com designed to offer construction schedules and timelines, detour information and project updates. Traffic and road conditions can be found on Caltrans’ real time traffic map. The map also provides information on detours, road closures, and chain controls. The Reno-Tahoe Open encourages you to check this website before you hit the road on your way to the spectacular Montreux Golf & Country Club to watch PGA TOUR professionals.
To avoid traffic delays, please keep in mind that the Reno-Tahoe International Airport allows you to easily book your flight from any destination. Visit their website to arrange your travel to the Reno/Tahoe area.
