Best Practices

Each year the PGA TOUR doles out accolades to the events on the exclusive PGA TOUR calendar. These compliments are called "Best Practices" and are examples to all PGA TOUR events of ideas of how they can make their event the best it can be. The Reno-Tahoe Open is proud of its seven mentions within the Best Practices category and encourages you to visit the tournament and the events leading up to tournament week so that you can see what all the hype is about!

2011 Best Practices

  • Noodle This! fundraising dinner
  • Napa's Backyard wine and food event at the Grand Sierra Resort
  • The Reno-Tahoe Open Renegades and their dedication to promoting the Reno/Tahoe area utilizing the international platform of the RTO
  • On-site Child Care at the Nanny Zone and at the Kids' Tree House, making the Reno-Tahoe Open fun for all members of the family
  • Doctors Supporting Troops, the program where area doctors donate their Pro-Am spots to deserving members of the military
  • Interior Shuttles allowing guests to get from A to B with no problem
  • Driving Range sponsorships for sponsors such as Jamba Juice

Thank you to all of our partners who have made these activities possible. Please join us at the 2012 Reno-Tahoe Open to see which on-site activities will again be good enough to be called a "Best Practice."
